PUBLIC MEETING to discuss Lesbury’s POST OFFICE - Wednesday 2 March 2022 at 6pm - Lesbury Village Hall   ()

Public Meeting to discuss Lesbury’s Post Office

Wednesday 2nd March 6.00pm - Lesbury Village Hall

Lesbury’s Post Office, Newsagent and Artisan Village Store has recently been put on the market for sale.

As many will know Jill is looking forward to a change of direction and would like to be able to hand-over the business to new owners, who can then be involved in the village community.

Residents will be aware that this is not just a post office offering a range of postal services, but a store that also sells a range of locally sourced artisan goods, bakery items, coffees; eggs & dairy confection; jams, chutneys and alcohol. Jill stocks a great selection of greeting cards and sells newspapers/magazines.  Delivery and collection services are also available. This is not a business Lesbury residents would wish to lose.

We need your help-

The Parish Council is actively helping to promote the sale of the post office to secure its future. If you know of anyone who is interested, please ask them to contact Jill at lesburypostoffice@gmail.com

If the post office is not sold and before Jill needs to leave, we need to consider what options are available to the community to make sure this valuable service is not lost.

Please come to a public meeting at the Village Hall on Wednesday 2nd March at 6pm. Jill will join us to give an update and to answer any questions.
